  • Advantages of Wireless AD hoc Network Applied in UAV, UGV, Unmanned Ship and Mobile Robots

Advantages of Wireless AD hoc Network Applied in UAV, UGV, Unmanned Ship and Mobile Robots

Ad hoc network, a self-organized mesh network, originates from Mobile Ad Hoc Networking, or MANET for short. "Ad Hoc" comes from Latin and means "For the specific purpose only", that is, "for a special purpose, temporary". Ad Hoc network is a multi-hop temporary self-organizing network composed of a group of mobile terminals with wireless transceivers, without any control center or basic communication facilities. All nodes in the Ad Hoc network have equal status, so there is no need for any central node to control and manage the network. Therefore, damage to any one terminal will not affect the communication of the entire network. Each node not only has the function of a mobile terminal but also forwards data for other nodes. When the distance between two nodes is greater than the distance of direct communication, the intermediate node forwards data for them to achieve mutual communication. Sometimes the distance between two nodes is too far, and data needs to be forwarded through multiple nodes to reach the destination node.

  • What Is Fading In Communication?

    What Is Fading In Communication?

In addition to the enhanced effect of transmitting power and antenna gain on signal strength, path loss, obstacles, interference and noise will weaken the signal strength, which are all signal fading. When designing a long range communication network, we should reduce signal fading and interference, improve signal strength, and increase the effective signal transmission distance.

  • Introducing IWAVE’s New Enhanced Tri-band OEM MIMO Digital Data Link

Introducing IWAVE’s New Enhanced Tri-band OEM MIMO Digital Data Link

In order to meet the OEM integration needs of unmanned platforms, IWAVE has launched a small-sized, high-performance three-band MIMO 200MW MESH board, which adopts multi-carrier mode and deeply optimizes the underlying MAC protocol driver. It can temporarily, dynamically and quickly build a wireless IP mesh network without relying on any basic communication facilities. It has the capabilities of self-organization, self-recovery, and high resistance to damage, and supports multi-hop transmission of multimedia services such as data, voice, and video. It is widely used in smart cities, wireless video transmission, mine operations, temporary meetings, environmental monitoring, public security firefighting, anti-terrorism, emergency rescue, individual soldier networking, vehicle networking, drones, unmanned vehicles, unmanned ships, etc.
