Current video transmission links in HQ forest farm

According to the preliminary survey, there are 4 links to transmit real-time video in Testing Farm;

Green link;A-B-C-HQ(testing forest farm)(the distance from A to HQ is 64km)

Red link;D-E- HQ(testing forest farm)(the distance from D to HQ is 33km)

Blue link;F-HQ(t testing forest farm)(the distance from F to HQ is 19km)

Yellow link;G- HQ(testing forest farm)(the distance from F to HQ is 28km)

In this testing, Green line (no relay in the middle) was selected as the MESH wireless transmission test link (direct connection) to test the real-time video transmission effect and the convenience of deployment.

Testing Field Environment Description

The distance from the Position A to HQtesting forest farmis about 63.6kmthe transmission distance is long, and the original microwave transmission scheme requires multiple hops to complete video transmission. The original microwave transmission path is shown in the following figure:it is Grenn line;A-B-C-HQtesting forest farm

3. Test Procedure

The deployment of HQ testing forest farm points

After the relevant technical personnel and tower workers of IWAVE arrive at the site, determine the backhaul test plan, pre-installation location, power intake method, safety measures and other details, and then organize personnel to go to the tower for construction, and the MESH wireless transmission equipment is deployed using omnidirectional antennas, which is convenient for installation and maintenance, and convenient for debugging.

Position A testing situation

The video transmission points were tested at both Position B and Position A. At the two ends, an iron tower (height 50M), a fireproof tower (height 25M) and a fireproof and forestree roof platform (5M in height) are both tested, and during testing, the roof platform is selected to perform access signal strength testing.

During the test, the signal intensity of the antenna test signal: Farm B signal - 88dbm, Farm A signal strength - 99dbm was first used by the tester. Two positions can clearly and stably return the video, and the whole process can complete equipment power-on and test in five minutes.

Finally, the ranger roof of Position A was selected for temporary installation test site, and after the installation was completed, the MESH signal strength was -97dbm (excellent point). The test video is clear, the backhaul is stable, and it can meet the direct backhaul of 63.6km long distance.

1. Summary Analysis

√The current test verifies the long-distance transmission capability of IWAVE MESH, the measured coverage radius more than 63km (if all towers are selected, the LOS(line-of-sight)transmission distance can reach 80km-100km), which can meet the existing business backhaul needs of forest farms under the current state.

√Compared with the previous microwave (bridge) link, it has the advantages of short commissioning time, long transmission distance, simple maintenance, and stable link.

√MESH wireless transmission equipment has the characteristics of small size, long backhaul distance, high backhaul bandwidth, low power consumption, and convenient maintenance, and can be used as a wireless broadband link under complex forest terrain.

√ MESH wireless transmission equipment combined with the 5G frequency band can facilitate the formation of forest area 5G Wireless Private Network coverage in forest areas, and solve the problems of no network coverage and communication blind areas in forest areas.
