Multi-hop Narrowband Mesh Manpack Radio Base Station

Model: Defensor-BM3

Defensor-BM3 uses ad-hoc technology that provides narrowband self-grouping multi-hop links to achieve a wide area of mesh coverage with digital voice and high security.

The BM3 narrowband MESH radio comes with base station and radio terminal function and rapidly form temporary communication networks in emergency response and challenging environment.

BM3 is designed as a portable base station/radio for individual-carried tactical networking. It utilizes IWAVE’s independently developed self-routing and self-organizing technology to achieve wireless automatic networking without center.

This system operates without relying on any wired connections or cellular network such as 4G or satellites. The communication between base stations is automatically coordinated with a handshake process without engineering adjustments. And it allows seamless operation after satellite lock during startup.

Within the network, the quantity of the radio terminal nodes in not limited, users can use as many radios as they need. The system support maximum 6 hops without reducing the voice quality, the communication range can be up to 50km. The BM3 Ad-Hoc Network Radio can be used in any emergency, fast deployment scenario and enhance the communication.

RELAY PORTABLE Digital RADIO
Ad-Hoc Network Radio

Multi-hop Links To Setup A Large Voice PTT MESH Communication Network
●The single jump distance can reach 15-20 km, and the high point to the low point can reach 50-80km.
●The max support 6-hop communication transmission, and expand the communication distance 5-6 times.
●The networking mode is flexible, It not only network with multiple base stations, but also network with handheld Push-to-Talk Mesh Radio such as TS1.

Fast Deployment, Create Network In Seconds
●In an emergency, every second counts. The BM3 Ad-Hoc network radio repeater supports push-to-start for rapidly and automatically setup an independent multi-hop links mobile communication network to cover a large and NLOS mountainous field.

Free of Any IP Link, Cellular Network, Flexible Topology Networking
●BM3 is an PTT Mesh Radio base station, it can connect directly to each other, creating a temporary (ad hoc) network without the need for external infrastructure like IP cable link, towers for Cellular Network. It offers you an instant radio communication network.

Remote Management, Keep Networking Status Always Known
●The portable on-site command dispatch center(Defensor-T9) remotely monitor all the mesh nodes radios/repeaters/base stations in the tactical ad-hoc network created by IWAVE Defensor series. Users will get the real time information of battery level, signal strength, online status, locations, etc via T9.

High Compatibility
●All the IWAVE Defensor series--narrowband MESH PTT radios and base stations and command center can smoothly communicate with each other to build a long distance narrowband self-grouping and multi-hop tactical communication system.

High Reliability
●The Narrowband Mesh Radio network is highly reliable because if one path is blocked or a device is out of range, data can be routed through an alternative path.

Application

During major incidents, cellular networks can become overloaded, and nearby cell towers may not be operational. Even more complex situations arise when teams have to operate in underground environments, mountainous, dense forest or remote coastal areas where there is no coverage from both cellular networks and DMR/LMR radios. Keeping each team members connected becomes a crucial obstacle to overcome.

Without the need for external infrastructure like towers or base stations, PTT Mesh Radio, or Push-to-Talk Mesh Radio, is the best choice that quickly creates a temporary voice communication (ad hoc) network for Military and Security Operations, Emergency Management and Rescue, Law Enforcement, Maritime Sector and Navigation, Mining Operations and Activities, etc.
