Handheld PTT MESH Radio Base Station

Model: Defensor-TS1

TS1 is the world’s first true Handheld PTT MESH Radio Base Station with 560g weight and 1.7inch LCD screen.

Multiple PTT Mesh radio base station can directly connect with each other, creating a large and temporary (ad hoc) network without external infrastructure like cell towers or base stations.

Users press the Push-to-Talk button, then voice or data will be sent through the mesh network using the most efficient available route. Each TS1 work as base station, repeater and manet terminal radio sending and repeating voice/data from one device to another until it reaches the destination.

With 2w-25w(adjustable) transmitting power, several the handheld MANET radio can cover a large area with multi hop communication. And each hop is about 2km-8km.

TS1 handheld PTT manet radio station is compact and it can be held in hand or placed on the shoulder, back or waist by a leather carrying case.

TS1 is equipped with a detachable lithium battery for 31hours battery life and if work with its power bank, the battery life can up to be 120hours.

Product Detail

Features

Long Range Communication

● TS1 is developed and designed based on ad-hoc network supports 6hops.
● Several people hold TS1 manet radios to build a multi hop communication system and each hop can reach 2-8km.
● One unit TS1 was put on 1F, the whole building from -2F to 80F can be covered(except the elevator cabin).

Cross Platform Connectivity

● IWAVE provide the whole manet radios solution including on-site command and dispatching center, solar powered base station, radio terminals, airborne MANET base station and manpack base stations to meet different application scenarios.
● TS1 can smoothly connect with all present IWAVE's MANET radios, command center and base stations which allows the end users on land to automatically mesh with manned and unmanned vehicles, UAVs, maritime assets and infrastructure nodes to create a robust connectivity.

How Does PTT Mesh Radio Work?
●Multiple TS1 wireless communicate with each other creating a temporary and multi hop wireless communication network.
● Each TS1 works as base station, repeater and radio terminal transmitting and repeating voice/data from one device to another until it reaches the destination.
● Users press the Push-to-Talk button, then voice or data will be sent through the ad-hoc network using the most efficient available route.
● The mesh network is highly reliable because if one path is blocked or a device is out of range or offline, voice/data can be routed through an alternative path.

Ad-Hoc Repeater&Radio

●Self-organizing, decentralized and multi-hop network formed by many nodes with transceiver capabilities that establish linkages autonomously and wirelessly;
●The TS1 node number is not limited, users can use as many TS1 as they need.
●Dynamic network, freely join or leave on the move; network topology changes
accordingly
●2 hops 2 channels, 4 hop 1 channel via single carrier(12.5kHz) (1Hop=1time relay; every channel supports individual and group call, all call, priority interrupt)
●2H3C,3H2C,6H1C via single carrier(25kHz)
●Time delay less than 30ms in single hop

Ad-hoc Network Radio

●Clock synchronisation with network and GPS time
●Automatically select base station signal strength
●Seamless roaming
●Supports individual and group call, all call, priority interrupt
●2-4 traffic channels via single carrier(12.5kHz)
●2-6 traffic channels via single carrier (25kHz)

Personal Safety

●Man down
●Emergency button for alert and ambulance listening
●lnitiate a call to the command center
●Showing caller's distance and direction during a call
●Indoor search and location of missing radio
●20W high power option can be activated on request in emergency circumstances

Narrowband-Mesh-Radio

Application

●For tactical response teams, smooth and reliable communication is essential.
●When major incidents happened, teams have to operate in challenging environments such as mountainous, forest, underground parking lots, tunnels, indoors and basements of urban buildings where DMR/LMR radios or cellular coverage are absent, users take TS1 can quickly power on and automatically communicate with each other for a ultra longer range than the traditional analogue or digital radios.
